Cerveza Indio celebrated its 120th anniversary with a design contest, seeking 120 label designs reflecting Mexican subcultures, urban tribes, and cultural movements. My winning design, featured on 8 million beer bottles, embraced kitsch—an art movement mirroring Mexico’s vibrant diversity. Elements like corn, crochet, animal prints, and iconic symbols like the Sacred Heart paid homage to Mexican culture. After extensive composition and color tests, the final design adhered to technical specs. As one of the nationwide winners, my label became part of a comprehensive media campaign, showcasing the rich tapestry of Mexican art and culture across various platforms.
